It's easy to make a mistake when typing and sending a message from the RingCentral mobile app. To edit a previously sent message:
- Open the conversation that contains the message you wish to edit from the Message tab.
- Long press (tap and hold) on the message to be edited.
- Tap Edit message from the messages option menu.
- Make your edits to the message.
- Tap Save to update the message.
Once completed, all members of your team or direct message thread will see your edited message instantly. You can only edit your own messages.
To delete a previously sent message:
- Open the conversation that contains the message you wish to edit from the Message tab.
- Long press (tap and hold) on the message to be edited.
- Tap Delete message from the messages option menu.
- Tap Delete to confirm.
