RingCentral Video meetings can be secured by requiring passwords. This will ensure that only authorized individuals can join the meeting. The password can be set when scheduling a meeting on the RingCentral app. Participants who join the meeting by clicking the invitation link will automatically join the meeting without being asked to enter the meeting password. Participants who join the meeting by entering the meeting ID will be asked to enter the meeting password.

How to set up a meeting password on an iOS device

1. Launch the RingCentral app.
2. Tap the Video icon.
3. Tap Schedule.
4. Enter the meeting title. If scheduling a meeting for someone else, tap Schedule for, then select the name of the person.
5. Select the preferred Meeting settings.
6. Tap Require password.
7. Enter the desired password. The password must be at least 1 to 10 characters long. It must contain characters from the following categories:
  • Uppercase characters (A-Z)
  • Lowercase characters (a-z)
  • Digits (1-9)
7. Tap Save.
8. Tap Next which is located on the upper right corner.
9. Configure the new event settings.
10. Tap Add located on the upper right corner to save the event.

How to set up a meeting password on an Android device

1. Launch the RingCentral app.
2. Tap the Video icon.
3. Tap Schedule.
4. Enter the meeting title. If scheduling a meeting for someone else, tap Schedule for, then select the name of the person.
5. Select the preferred Meeting settings.
6. Enable Require password.
7. Enter the desired password. The password must be at least 1 to 10 characters long. It must contain characters from the following categories:
  • Uppercase characters (A-Z)
  • Lowercase characters (a-z)
  • Digits (1-9)
7. Tap SAVE.
8. Tap the right arrow located on the upper right corner.
9. Configure the new event settings.
10. Tap the checkmark located on the upper right corner to save the meeting schedule.
