The Internal Message support on the RingCentral app for Android and iOS devices allows the user to send messages to call queues and other extensions that cannot receive SMS texts, like announcement-only extensions, message-only extensions and virtual extensions.
On iOS
1. Launch the RingCentral app.
2. Tap Phone.
3. Tap the Plus (+) icon on the upper right, then tap New Text.
4. Enter the name of the call queue group, then select it from the search results.
5. Tap the drop-down arrow to select the number you want to send from.
6. Compose your SMS or Text.
7. Tap Send.
On Android devices
1. Launch the RingCentral app.
2. Tap Phone > Text.
3. Tap the Message button (above Contacts) to create a new message.
4. Enter the name of the call queue group, then select it from the search results.
