You can share files from outside the RingCentral app mobile or inside the app via RingCentral Message, text message (SMS), or fax on your iOS or Android devices. These messaging options are dependent on your assigned user permissions.
1. Tap Files on your phone, then select the file(s) to share.
2. Tap Share.
3. Tap RingCentral from the apps list.
4. On the preview screen, tap the drop-down next to Send via, you can select any of the following options: RingCentral Message, Text message (SMS), or Fax.

Share files via RingCentral Message
1. Select RingCentral Message.
2. Tap Next.
3. Select a contact or team from the list.
4. Tap Share.
5. Compose your message, then tap Send.

Share files via text message (SMS)
1. Select Text message (SMS).
2. Tap Next.
3. Select a contact from the list or enter the recipient's number.

Share files via fax
1. Select Fax.
2. Tap Next.
3. Select the contact(s) from the list or enter the number(s) of the recipient(s).
4. Select a cover page (optional).
5. Check the file(s) to attach. Tap Add attachment to add more file(s). You can also delete or rearrange the files to send.

To delete file attachments
On iOS:
• Tap Edit, then tap the red Delete button on the left of the file.
• Tap Delete.
On Android:
• Tap the Trash icon, then tap the red Delete button on the right of the file.
• Tap REMOVE on the confirmation dialog.
• Tap Done.
• Tap Edit, then tap the red Delete button on the left of the file.
• Tap Delete.
On Android:
• Tap the Trash icon, then tap the red Delete button on the right of the file.
• Tap REMOVE on the confirmation dialog.
• Tap Done.
To rearrange the files
On iOS:
• Tap Edit.
• Tap and hold the Hamburger (3 lines) icon on the right of the file.
• Drag the file to the desired position.
• Tap Done.
On Android:
• Tap and hold the Hamburger (3 lines) icon on the right of the file.
• Drag the file to the desired position.
• Tap Done.
• Tap Edit.
• Tap and hold the Hamburger (3 lines) icon on the right of the file.
• Drag the file to the desired position.
• Tap Done.
On Android:
• Tap and hold the Hamburger (3 lines) icon on the right of the file.
• Drag the file to the desired position.
• Tap Done.
6. Tap Send (on iOS) or the Paper plane icon (on Android) on the upper right corner.
Limitations
• The file you will send will be grayed out if it is not supported by your selected messaging option. A description will be shown under the previews. Users will still have the option to continue sending the rest of the files.
• RingCentral Message and Text messages (SMS) can post a maximum of 10 files. Fax can send a maximum of 20 files. An alert will be shown if the number of selected files exceeds the limit.
